SBDC Workshop: HUBZone Program

The Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) Program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal procurement opportunities. This workshop will provide an overview of the HUBZone program, including eligibility criteria, how the program works, and maintaining HUBZone certification.
The HUBZone program provides federal contracting assistance to qualified small firms in designated HUBZones to:
- Increase employment opportunities
- Stimulate capital investment
- Empower communities through economic leveraging
To qualify for the program, your business must meet these requirements, among others:
- Be located in an area designated as a HUBZone. Check your business address here: https://www.sba.gov/contracting/government-contracting-programs/hubzone-program/hubzone-maps
- 35% of your employees must reside in a HUBZone
